Hi Kana,

The countryside that I have here in the USA is probably different than in Japan but I too enjoy the calmness that comes from visiting it. The feeling of leaving the busy life behind for a day and enjoying the quiet and tranquility of nature I believe is a blessing. Thank you for sharing your life with us.

Loved reading every word here! As some one who had 'crazy busy' as a default setting, I have now rediscovered the joy of embracing experiences slowly, particularly cooking food. As a Hindu, we are taught to offer everything we prepare with love mindfully as 'naivedyam' first for our deities before we eat. The objective is to align the mind into a state of peace before savouring food rather than as an instant 'gobbling' experience as we are prone to when we eat in front of TVs, laptops and we don't even taste what we are eating. These are small tell tale signs of an urgent need to take things slow.
